On the 5th of October 2018, The CASURECO II UNION OF SUPERVISORY EMPLOYEES (CAUSE) Conducted a training seminar entitled: Basic Leadership training and recent policy on dispute settlement. The said event was held at Jamora hall, Villa Caceres Hotel. It was attended by different power cooperatives union regionwide. The sole purpose of the said event was to level up the working standard of organization to global elevation and introduce them to the recent dispute settlements.

Legazpi City- The National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) created under Executive Order No. 126 shall formulate policies, develop plans and programs, and set standards and procedures relative to the promotion of conciliation and mediation of labor disputes, administration of voluntary arbitration program, and the promotion of other cooperative, non-adversarial, and voluntary modes of labor dispute settlement.

“Small but terrible,” as described by almost everyone in the branch office of the newly hired Administrative Assistant III of RCMB 5, Ms. Jennifer Mae A. Novela.   If I may describe her, she is one petite and “terrible” lady in the sense that when she became part of NCMB, she is very active and committed in the pursuits of the office and not to mention already became a Resource Person in one of the recent area wide seminars conducted by the branch – and that’s just months long after she was hired – on a Job Order basis.

Carpenter gets financial assistance

Legazpi City – A carpenter who sought the intervention of the regional branch through its Single Entry Approach (SEnA) program gets financial assistance and SSS payments from his former employer who contracted out his services when the company was still in its initial stages of building the establishment.

LAMIPA-OGMA CONDUCTS JOINT 3RD QUARTER MEETING AT RCMB 5

The Labor and Management Industrial Peace Advocates (LAMIPA) and the Organization of Grievance Machinery Advocates (OGMA) conducted a Joint Officers Meeting at the National Conciliation and Mediation Board Regional Branch 5 Office on September 25, 2018.

The purpose of the meeting is the finalization of the plans for the conduct of area-wide seminar on October 2018 and the General Assembly and Election of Officers updates.  A total of 10 participants attended the meeting which was presided by LAMIPA President Dante L. Encinas.

Issues raised during the meeting were about the conduct of the General Assembly and Election of Officers which is still on hold and will still be decided by the Board of Trustees as they plan to invite members first during the planned area wide seminar to make the association bigger and stronger. The officers will also review the Constitution and By-Laws of the LAMIPA-Bicol.

After some discussions and consultations the LAMIPA and OGMA Officers agreed to conduct the Area Wide Seminar on October 26, 2018 to be held here in Legazpi City with the topic on “Equality and Diversity in the Workplace”.
