RCMB5 supports DOLEROV-RCC activity on TUPAD program for Mayon evacuees

Legazpi City – Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch 5 (RCMB5) Director Reynaldo Foncardas attended the activity of the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Officer V (DOLEROV) – Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) during the visit of DOLE Secretary Honourable Silvestre H. Bello III on 08 February 2018.

The RCC is composed of the attached agencies of DOLE, headed in Region 5 by DOLE Regional Director Exequiel R. Sarcauga.  The attached agencies are composed of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Regional Tripartite Wages & Productivity Board, Professional Regulation Commission, National Labor Relations Commission, Employees Compensation Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Center, National Reintegration Center for OFWs, and the RCMB5.

Secretary Bello visited the Province of Albay to provide assistance through the provision of TUlong Panghanapbuhay para sa mga Displaced/Disadvantaged (TUPAD) Workers to the evacuees brought about by the eruption of Mayon Volcano.

NOS propels RCMB5 personnel to action

Legazpi City – With the facsimile message received from the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch – National Capital Region (NCR) on the Notice of Strike (NOS) filed by The Redsystems Company, Inc. Employees Association – Federation of Free Workers (TRCIEA-FFW), the once relaxed employees of Regional Branch 5 was jolted into action to comply with the request of the union to let the NCMB personnel witness the Strike Vote Balloting conducted on February 23, 2018.

The activity was initiated at the various distribution centers of Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines nationwide scheduled from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

“For Region V, there were four sites identified where the Strike Vote will be conducted,” informed Supervising Labor and Employment Officer (SupLEO) Josephine Amaranto who was designated as Officer In-Charge at that time since Regional Branch Director Reynaldo Foncardas attended a seminar on Omnibus Rules on Appointment and 201 Files Records Keeping in Quezon City.  “We have 17 registered voters in the Legazpi Distribution Center, 26 in Naga City and 5 in Daet, Camarines Norte.”
