Legazpi City – The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch (RCMB)-5 will conduct a press briefing on “Alternative Dispute Resolution” on 10 May 2018 to be held at the ground floor, function room of Calaguas Gateway Hotel, Vinzons St., Daet, Camarines Norte from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.

The main resource speaker is RCMB5 Regional Branch Director Reynaldo Foncardas.

“ADR is the sum of all the Board’s programs and services that consists of conciliation and mediation (Con-Med), grievance machinery and voluntary arbitration (GM/VA), and labor and management cooperation (LMC).  Generally, it refers to any process or procedure used to resolve a dispute or controversy, other than by adjudication or litigation,” Director Foncardas explained.

“Ms Maria Teresita Cancio, NCMB Deputy Executive Director IV who should have been the resource speaker sends her apology for not making it to the press briefing.  She said she has a more urgent commitment to attend to.”

“The purpose of the media event is to disseminate the programs and services of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) to a wider audience.  Knowing the significant function of our media partners in circulating and broadcasting the good news of our mandate, we called this press conference to be able to reach private companies or establishments in Daet, Camarines Norte.  Hopefully, we can push through our plans to conduct the same in other provinces of the Bicol region.”

“After the media event, there will be a forum on the three-program areas of the Board to be held at the third floor of the same hotel.  This will be participated by management and employees from different private companies both organized and unorganized.  Later in the afternoon of May 10, our convergence team composed of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB), Regional Units of the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) and the Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) and the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office V (DOLEROV) will join us in promoting our LMC Convergence of Programs.”

“We are inviting companies to attend this forum,” said Director Foncardas.
