Legazpi City –The area-wide seminar on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) with Labor and Management Cooperation (LMC) Convergence of Programs was successfully undertaken at Calaguas Gateway Hotel, Vinzons Avenue, Daet, Camarines Norte on May 10, 2018.  The establishments were from the industries of accommodation, food service, human health care, academe, wholesale and retail trade, supermarket, media outfits, electric cooperative and other service activities.

National Conciliation and Mediation Board Regional Branch 5 Director Reynaldo Foncardas said, “The objective of the seminar is to create awareness on the different programs and services of the Board in order to sustain harmonious employees-employer relationship through continuous labour education.  Likewise, we would like to promote the implementation of plant-level mechanisms, in as much company as we can reach, that will assist the establishments in addressing workplace issues and concerns.  The Convergence Program is a joint and several efforts of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and attached agencies composed of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB), Regional Extension Units of the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) and Employees Compensation Commission and the regional counterpart of the DOLE Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC).”

The roster of resource speakers from the different offices in the promotion of their respective programs were: from RTWPB, OIC-Board Secretary Francia Ocmer who talked on Productivity; Research Analyst Mark James Andayog for OSHC program; Information Officer Yvette Bonavente for ECC benefits; and DOLE Camarines Norte Provincial Field Office Senior Labor and Employment Officer Cyre Cabredo, who lectured on Family Welfare, DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP), and Batas Kasambahay.

Director Foncardas discussed ADR which is the flagship program of the NCMB.
