Legazpi City- Over 26 applicants took their chances in getting the slot for the Administrative Aide VI position with Salary Grade (SG)-06 at Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch V Office. The vacancy was published at Civil Service Commission (CSC) and National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) official website last May 18, 2018 posted Item No. NCMBB-ADA6-223-2004.

The selection board members composed of Ms. Hazel Caroche, LEO III represents the NCMB Employees’ Association, Ms. Gloria Cope, Administrative Assistant III as 1st level representative and Director Foncardas as chairman of the board.

Only 26 applicants submitted their application via email and personally on time. Initial evaluation of qualified applicants for Administrative Aide VI position was prepared and distributed to Selection Board members for initial evaluation. However, based on the assessment and evaluation of documents submitted by them, only twenty (20) applicants meet the minimum requirements and deemed qualified for the position.

Among the 20 applicants, four of them graduated CUM LAUDE from Bicol University in Legazpi, some applicants were graduate of Management, Political Science, Journalism, English studies, Sociology, Electronics Engineering, Education, Computer Science and Psychology. Those qualified applicants were scheduled to take the written examination on June 13, 2018 and interview on June 26-27, 2018.

The applicants were shortlisted by the selection board based on the results of the written exam and interview. Four applicants were included in the shortlist. Among the applicants, 3 were females and graduate of AB English, Management and a Psychometrician. The only male applicant who made it through the next stage of evaluation is an Electronics Engineering graduate. These 4 applicants took the Genesys Examination and all of their submitted documents upon compliance will be endorsed at the Central Office of the NCMB for their appropriate action.


Director Foncardas said that the examination and interview pool was very competitive. And the whole evaluation process made it hard for them to choose considering that most of the applicants were really good. But because only one applicant will be chosen, they really have to select the best that will fit the position. They are not just after with the educational background of the applicants rather they’ve also considered applicants’ potentials and personality traits.
